The committee is elected annually at the club's Annual General Meeting.  Club members (aged over 18) are eligible for nomination to any committee post.  In addition to the named posts, there is also the opportunity to become a general member which gives an ideal introduction to the committee, perhaps with a view to taking on a named position in future years.  Full role descriptions for all committee positions are available.

In addition to the above roles, the Head Coach currently acts as Schools Co-ordinator and Disability Liaison Officer, and the Chairman currently acts as Workforce Co-ordinator.  The club also has a number of trained Team Managers currently led by Roger Inverarity.

The club also welcomes volunteer helpers throughout the year, either in administrative or support roles, or as poolside helpers (anybody who wishes to work with the children must obtain clearance through the Criminal Records Bureau, and be prepared to undergo child protection training - see the club's Welfare Officer for more information).  If you would like to meet new people, make friends, learn new skills, have a say in how your club is run, and help the swimmers towards success, please contact any committee member. Your contribution would be valued.

If you are thinking about volunteering and are not quite sure whether it's for you, have a chat with any committee member, or take a look at www.runningsports.org which gives lots of hints and tips for volunteers.

The club's insurance is arranged through the ASA, and a copy of the current insurance certificate is available to view on the club's notice board upstairs at the Riverside Leisure Centre.  Any insurance queries should be addressed to the club secretary.

The club has adopted the ASA's recommended procedure for dealing with internal disputes, and a copy of the relevant guidance can be found here
