Morpeth wins volunteer awards
Morpeth ASC has had two recent winners of swimming's National Governing Body volunteer awards.
Congratulations to Claire Turner who won the ASA North East Region Young Volunteer Aquaforce Award, and to Peter Rushworth who won the ASA North East Region Long Service Aquaforce Award.
They were both nominated by the region for the corresponding national award, and Peter Rushworth was successful, winning the ASA Long Service Aquaforce Award. Aquaforce Awards.
London Olympics 2012
The club has been successful with their application to provide a team of club members aged 16/17 to volunteer as Young Games Makers at the swimming events at the Olympic Games in London.
